Nuad Benja Phakhi – The 4 Systems + 1 Approach
The Origins of Thai Solution Massage
Thai Solution Massage was developed by Master Suthep Mevattana, founder of THAIBOOST Academy Netherlands. Practice and teaching since 1999, he created Nuad Benja Phakhi – the 4 Systems + 1 approach, bringing together principles and techniques from:
-
Meridian Therapy based on acupuncture principles
-
Japanese Shiatsu
-
Chinese Tui Na
-
Thai Myofascial Release
-
Traditional Thai Massage from Wat Pho in Bangkok
This whole-body approach focuses on four interconnected areas: muscles and fascia, tendons, the nervous system and joints, guided by +1 Mindfulness & Mettā—care, compassion and focused attention.
Master Suthep is also the author of a specialist book on Nuad Benja Phakhi and the 32+2 Thai Sen pathways. The book documents and explains the pathways used within his approach, helping students and interested readers understand how different areas of the body are connected. It also provides guidance on applying massage to the correct points, direction and angle—important elements for effective massage and a whole-body approach.

The 4 Systems + 1 Approach
Thai Solution Massage focuses on four key body systems that work together, supported by one essential principle at the heart of every session.
1. Muscles & Fascia System
Repetitive movement, prolonged sitting, exercise and stress can contribute to tightness or restriction in the muscles and fascia. This may leave your body feeling stiff, uncomfortable or less able to move freely.
Thai Solution Massage uses carefully adapted pressure and specialised techniques to focus on areas of tension and restriction. This helps relax the muscles and fascia, support natural circulation and encourage more comfortable movement.
2. Tendons System
Tendons connect muscles to bones and play an important role in movement. When the tendons and surrounding tissues become tight or overworked, your body may feel restricted, stiff or unable to move naturally.
This approach uses precise acupressure along tendon pathways throughout the body, with the pressure carefully adjusted to each individual. It aims to release tension in the tendons and surrounding tissues, support flexibility and encourage more comfortable, natural movement.

3. Nervous System
Stress, fatigue and long-standing tension within the muscles, tendons and fascia may cause the nervous system to become more sensitive. This can allow tension or discomfort to persist and make it more difficult for the body to rest and relax.
Precise pressure, a calm rhythm and focused, unhurried care help release tension around sensitive areas, support a calmer nervous system and encourage a deeper sense of relaxation throughout the body.
4. Joints System
Repetitive use, prolonged sitting, exercise or tension in the muscles and tendons surrounding a joint may cause some areas to feel stiff, restricted or uncomfortable during movement.
When the muscles, fascia and tendons around the joints receive appropriate attention, movement may begin to feel easier, more comfortable and more natural. When needed, Ju also uses gentle joint-support techniques without forceful stretching or manipulation.
+1 Mindfulness & Mettā
Mindfulness & Mettā are at the heart of Thai Solution Massage.
Every session is delivered with mindfulness, focused attention, care and compassion. Ju observes how your body responds throughout the massage, carefully adapting the pressure, pace and techniques to help you feel safe, comfortable and genuinely cared for.
